Seaflex
Phase Two  (waterline to cap rail)

On December 23, 2002, the paint on the port side was removed in preparation of seaflex.  The pictures below were taken at 2pm on Christmas day showing our progress.  The mahogany color is 3M 5200, and the silver is woven fiberglass matt hung in the adhesive.  When the 5200 is cured, the fiberglass is wet down with resin and two sacrificial layers of fiberglass matting is added. The hull is then ready for sanding, priming, faring, and Awlgrip topcoat.  This process will extend the life of the "Le Bon Temps Roule" for many years, and restore the strength necessary for ocean travel.
